Santander’s addition strengthens Toronto’s lineup, giving them a reliable power hitter with solid defensive skills. The Blue Jays, with a payroll of approximately $225.4 million, continue to invest in their roster in pursuit of a championship. While Santander’s contract is substantial, it does not yet place him among the highest-paid players in the league.
