Please, please Coventry City fans 🙏 — we ask this from the bottom of our hearts: don’t throw anything, at any time, for any reason.
Not during moments of frustration, not in heated atmospheres, not when decisions go against us, and not even in celebration. Our club is building something special, something powerful, something worthy of the Premier League — and we simply cannot afford to damage that progress through avoidable behaviour.
Coventry City is a club with passion running through every supporter, player, and staff member. We’re proud of that passion. We’re proud of the noise we make, the unity we show, and the loyalty that has carried this club through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. But passion must always be channelled positively. The moment frustration spills over into dangerous behaviour, we risk being judged unfairly, punished unnecessarily, and grouped in with clubs whose fanbases have repeatedly crossed the line.
That is not who we are.
That is not who we have ever been.
And that is not who we ever want to become.
We all know the truth: Coventry City fans are among the best in the country. We travel in numbers. We sing for 90 minutes. We back the boys in every stadium, in every weather, in every situation. Our atmosphere has become one of the most respected in the league — loud, proud, and fiercely supportive. But actions such as throwing objects onto the pitch, at players, or at officials only hurt us. They damage our reputation. They risk point deductions, fines, and sanctions that could derail the progress we are fighting so hard to earn.
And let’s be honest — this season and the seasons ahead could be historic for us.
We are pushing.
We are improving.
We are rising.
We are, genuinely, on the brink of something extraordinary.
How incredible would it be to see Coventry City competing in the Premier League again?
How incredible would it be for our fans to pack out Premier League stadiums, showing the world exactly who we are and what we represent? That dream is within reach — closer than it has been in years — but we need every single supporter to help us protect it.
We cannot, and must not, allow a handful of poor decisions to overshadow thousands of loyal voices. We cannot allow ourselves to be dragged down to the level of clubs who are known for negativity, misconduct, or violence. That is not the Coventry way. It never has been.
WE ARE COVENTRY CITY FOOTBALL CLUB — and we expect more from ourselves.
We expect class.
We expect unity.
We expect pride.
We expect standards higher than any other fanbase in the league.
We are building a club that stands tall, stands proud, and stands together.
We are building a Premier League future.
We are building something perfect — in every way.
So please, Sky Blues family: support with your voices, your hearts, your passion — not with objects thrown in anger.
We are Coventry City. We rise above. We move forward. We stay united.
