A 47% three-point shooting center would be a coveted addition to any NBA team, but the Los Angeles Lakers might be especially interested in such a player. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, the Lakers have the star power to contend for a championship, but they’ve been lacking in outside shooting in recent seasons.
The emergence of a center who can stretch the floor and knock down shots from beyond the arc would open up all sorts of new possibilities for the Lakers’ offense.
The Lakers would also benefit from the spacing that a three-point shooting center would provide. LeBron James is at his best when he has room to operate, and with a big man who can draw defenders away from the paint, James would have more opportunities to attack the basket or set up his teammates for easy baskets.
Of course, it’s worth noting that the NBA doesn’t currently have many centers who shoot at a 47% clip from three-point range, so the Lakers might have to look overseas or in the developmental leagues to find such a player.
