Goff’s team has confirmed that a portion of the funds will go toward hiring trained social workers, educational coordinators, and mental health counselors, ensuring The Haven House is not only a place to sleep, but also a space for healing and growth. Programming will include GED prep, job training, trauma-informed therapy, and mentorship, with the goal of helping residents transition into permanent housing and stable employment.
The initiative comes at a time when youth homelessness in Tennessee is reaching crisis levels. According to recent data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, over 10,000 youth in the state are without consistent shelter — a number that has doubled since 2019. Local officials are hailing Goff’s efforts as a model for athlete-led philanthropy that goes beyond short-term solutions.
